I would carve Nicky Wire's name on my arm if it could get me to watch Tolerate live.

In all seriousness, for UK folks it's 'standard greatest hits'. For someone like me, it's First Time Ever. I just hope I can afford the tickets to Japan, which will be most likely place they'll perform.

An interesting interpretation of nearly sold out.

You have to ask yourself, what would Jimmy Nail say?

Yeah, it's such a good song, especially for a Nicky vocal! Love it.

Looks like gruff rhys will be joining us at the 02-duet on 'let robeson sing'-amazing, what a voice-nina+gruff going to be specialxx
what interesting revelations. A european date would be worth saving for if it's not until summer. although knowing Wire it may never happen... also gruff is a bit random for that song, unless they do the chorus in Welsh or something, like they did in that Cuba show where JDB did a wee bit of limited spanish or whatever. either that or he's stepping in for the Ian Brown rap...jesus

no worries, I just thought the gif would perfectly show how much I appreciate this forum for such comments.
we all love them, that's why we criticize them, and when we're given words on twitter we take every each of them and analyse them on every possible way. YAY MANICS FANS! THIS ONLY SHOWS HOW AMAZING WE ARE!

No, but would have won tempted a lot more casual fans to pick up a copy. Plus 1985's style of New Wave was massive in 2004. Marketed properly it could have been huge. TLORN was just too difficult.

Nah, they were more out in force during the TGW - SATT era. I would have gone with dissing Franz Ferdinand fans instead

I don't...if they'd lead off with that a lot more people would have been interested, I think...leading off with nixon was an album killer.

A Greatest Hits set would sell out a couple of nights at The Bowery, the Roseland Ballroom or Terminal 5 at least surely?
