Still no sign of anything here. Says it was sent on the day of release and I put in the order a month before that. I hate it when stuff like this happens, I don't have the confidence to stand up for my consumer rights and if this is Royal Mail's fault, I don't see why Townsend should foot the bill. There's always a risk with online shopping, it's me own fault.

If they have proof of posting, then the seller has every right to contact the Royal Mail and put in a claim. They will be compensated for the cost price of the lost item and then you should receive a replacement or a refund.

Some time ago I bought my boyfriend a tin robot for Christmas. It never came. The seller said they'd send another. That didn't come either. The seller wanked on about how they'd sent me another "for free" and I said - get proof of postage in the first place and then make a compensation claim! BUNCH OF TOOLS. (then they said they'd send a refund... and guess what? that didn't come either...).

So yeah. I don't think the stuff from Townsend was sent recorded or special but they may still have proof of postage. I can't remember how much time has to by before you/the seller can make the claim though (I think it's the seller that has to initiate the claims process).

Still nowt for me either. They've got til the end of this week then I shall chase Townsend up. As said, if it's Royal Mails fault they should still be able to refund you in some way. I'm not reordering it again anyway. Forget that!

From the site:

Delivery Schedule:
Items that are in stock when the order is received will normally be dispatched either the same day or next working day. Out of stock items and import items can take slightly longer. Orders for delivery within the UK will generally be received within 10 working days.

Overseas orders will generally be received within 10-14 days.

Please note the royal mail states it is unable to search for a missing item within 10 working days on UK orders and 28 working days on overseas orders. If you have not received your order after this time please contact us.

"Overseas orders will generally be received within 10-14 days." I guess I will give them a few more days before I email them.

Sometimes post to Canada or the US can take a month!!! I have no idea why. Maybe it goes to check out the nice scenery before touching down.

This was sent to me this morning.

"Thanks for your email,

We had been awaiting more stock of the 7" single as shown online, the stock has arrived this morning and orders are now being processed, please accept our apologies for the delay.

It looks like my package has been shipped out to me today! It'll be a good spring gift to myself.

Is it the 7" single that's been causing the delay? Dunno why I bother ordering those!

My package was sent today (Tuesday), also. So, I'll start looking out for it next week.

They may come in handy if you run out of small plates.

A place to put one's straw. Can use the 'plate' as a drink ornament.

Got mine yesterday, and everything arrived safely. The signed postcard is pretty cool.
