It was much better acoustic, I thought.

It's at no.5 in the iTunes video chart. If that counts for anything. Given the existence of YouTube, I doubt it does.
Unfortunately, it will be From Despair to Where or The Everlasting playing over the credits tonight... |

Haha that's cool, maybe it'll get the Manics a new generation of fans.

Steve Wright played the last third of the song today. People have been talking about tonights match all day on Radio 2, I was a bit surprised they didn't play the song more.

I love all the primary school kids on twitter singing the song

... well maybe the Manics could play a special "Welcome Home From Your Inevitable Failure" gig instead?

Time to start a campaign to get This Sullen Welsh Heart to no.1.

I showed my 11 year old niece the music video last night during the game and she liked it. I just saw her now playing it three times back to back and singing along, she loves it. I'll go get the Holy Bible and Everything Must Go out now for her

That's cute. I was 11 too when I memorised the whole Generation Terrorists in spite of not speaking English back then.

Single went up to No.3 in physical chart but overall the single again didn't make the top 100. What a shambles the chart is these days, what the hell is it based on?
Oh, and amazingly, La Tristesse got to No.100 in the physical singles chart haha!

I saw it on sale for £3 in HMV (And what was the problem getting singles from the last two albums displayed?) But didn't buy it as I wasn't sure I had enough and now realise I could of all along.
