Scotland's not a region within the United Kingdom though. Scotland is a nation within the United Kingdom.

Yeah boooiiiiii! Someone knows their history and I for one am impressed! I'd be willing to bet not many realize (or care for that matter) that Canada was once a colony of Britain. Why up until the mid-60s, the flag Canada used were both the Union Jack as well as the Red Ensign.

Well, to be fair to Looke or Takk, it probably wasn't just my "location" that set them off, more likely the fact that I did say that I wasn't from the UK.

I think the word you're looking for is "provinces", but yeah, I totally get what you mean. I just think from my perspective it's a little more clear-cut then then the UK.
