They shouldn't be worrying about that, if they just have fun it will be fun to watch. Fuck ups, rants, JDB costume changes and all.

I'm with you there. Some of their best gigs have been very rough around the edges. But I can't blame them for not wanting to be filmed.

I reckon with the number of people there, most of the concert will end up on Youtube as mobile footage anyway.

Is excited!

True, and increasingly, it's very good quality. There are some great vids of the Wolves gig from May. We might even find someone to edit bits together!

Aye, it would be amazing if someone could tie everything together over some high quality audio like in this really impressive and nifty Radiohead fan-filmed gig.

they'll have to pay if they do it, so i don't see the issue really.

Hmm, maybe that's a whole other thread! I'm sure if we got enough people together, we could get HQ footage of the whole gig.

That's your project

I'm 100% with you on this. I have always found the trashing of instruments to be a particularly pathetic sight. It spoilt the end of a great gig when they did it at Brixton on KYE tour and it does with any band. I don't see the point, "ooh you've broken your guitar on the 5th attempt, how punk rock." That they can afford to pay for it is barely the point, it's plain sub-adolescent idiocy, it's never been cool.

It was fucking cool at the Astoria on December 21, 1994. They're a bit old for all that now though.

Dreadful to encourage it I know but The Joy Formidable hiking up a Welsh hill, playing their song and then trashing their instruments for one of the vids for Whirring is rather ace. Sorry.

The only instrument smash I appreciate is that of Paul Simonon's bass on the London Calling cover.
