Nicky has confirmed on twitter that they're rehearsing PCP and Yes, as well as Enola/Alone, so hopefully they'll make it onto the setlists.

James will need an Oxygen mask at side of stage if he attemps PCP!

Or maybe PCP goes through a slow and acoustic rendition like Eric Clapton's "Layla"?
Anyway, he gets around it by getting the audience to sing the lines instead! |

Would love to hear Yes live...it hasn't been a permanent fixture in the set since the Lifeblood tour.

The idea that it's just a Greatest hits tour nowadays is a bit unfair methinks.
Take the 2011 mini tour in the spring was it? With Solitude Sometimes Is, Of Walking Abortion, My Little Empire On Postcards tour too we had Sleepflower, This is Yesterday... Plus the return of lesser played singles like Roses and Suicide is Painless Journal tour was always gonna be greatest hits heavy, because they'd played a whole new album in full, which would've alienated a few more casual fans. SATT had Freedom of Speech, Born to End etc I didn't go to the RTF tour, circumstances prevented it, but my feeling is they just wanted it to be a bit lighter, more melancholic to match the tone of the album. Someone buying an acoustic album like that isn't going to want to then want fast paced punk songs. I dont think the band were particularly in that mindset either. I don't know, but as someone who has complained about setlists before, they've done alright the past few years! |

There were a few pleasant surprises on the RTF mini-tour.They opened with No Surface All Feeling in Newport, that was pretty mint. Played Elvis Impersonator, Revol and Ocean Spray too.
That being said, if they play (INW)JTEOL on this tour, I may be liable to kick off.

Probably similar to last year's sets. I dunno if these songs they're mentioning on Twitter will be on this tour, might be keeping them for a following 'Futurology' tour which is bound to happen at some point (probably xmas).

Sadly Nicky tweeting about song rehearsals often doesn't equate to those songs appearing live (didn't he imply they'd be playing Prologue To History at Festival No.6?).
Still, I do think it'll be THB-heavy. If you think about it, most Manics tours (at least since PPF) seem to follow a pattern. The basic setlist + selection from latest album + showcasing a few tracks from one or two older albums. On the RTF tour it was the turn of TIMTTMY (15th Anniversary), this time it will be THB (20th Anniversary). So I think we're probably looking at 10-12 'usual suspects', 4-5 RTF tracks, 5 THB tracks and probably 1 or 2 from Futurology. As far as RTF tracks go, I'm really hoping that we get Builder Of Routines, Four Ways To See Despair, Running Out Of Fantasy, and a full-band version of Tokyo Skyline, just to nicely round out the RTF live experience. I think in reality we can hope to hear maybe one or two of those, plus Show Me The Wonder, Rewind The Film and 30 Year War (although thinking about it, they'll probably sacrifice that for bloody Anthem).

i don't mind them ditching rewind the film. Much prefer it with richard hawley singing it. Lucy rose is turning up for cardiff isn't she? Does this mean we'll get her on stage for sullen welsh heart ?

Ooh! I did not know this. That would be excellent. Though not as excellent as Cate's appearances.

I'd prefer not to hear INWJTEOL again. Period.

I'm pretty damn sure that James said that he wouldn't be playing TSWH ever again in an interview recently. Also, certain that the band said the RTF period is gone now so little chance of those tracks getting played (barring SMTW, I guess).
