Me and my friend next to me on the barrier had to spend the whole of La Tristesse and Tsunami trying to fight off the drunk fucking massive bloke behind us who decided he wanted to be on the barrier, and when he couldn't push us off proceeded to just hit us instead, effing and blinding how the same people were on the barrier every night and "it's not fucking fair!". How about turning up in the early hours to queue and then talk to us about fairness? Class act, seriously. Possibly the most vile person I have ever come across at a gig. He had a load of bracelets on, was with his annoying girlfriend, and had the cheek to ask for a photo of my setlist at the stage door after the gig. Fucking wanker.
That was my rant. On the bright side, James was wonderfully chatty after the show, gave out sweets and water from the tourbus, and Sean signed my setlist. |

Ah my ears are still ringing two days after the gig.But it was a brilliant night. The boys were on top form.James looked like he was really enjoying himself. He souned fantastic and he was very witty with his banter with the crowd.Lucky to be at the front again to get a good view of him,I'll put up with a bit of pushing for that.Glad to see Nicky moving more freely and he seemed to be happier, which was lovely to see.No more gigs for me sadly.I'll miss seeing them for sure.

And the gig was an absolute blinder!! I will never tire of Motown Junk, and it was so great to hear JFPL live, it's shaping up to be one of my favourite msp albums. There's a great download of the gig over at S&V too! |

I had to listen to the security guards moaning about their lives to each other before the gig started....one of the perils of standing towards the edge of the barrier I suppose.
I really wanted to hear how his wife was shagging a taxi driver and that was the only reason he agreed to work that night. Thanks.

It would of be nice to meet you Relic at the Wolves gig.I think the Manics fans took over travelodge for the night.

Aye, I'm way too shy of talking to strangers though I also feel daft about asking other fans if they are on FD, as I know that a lot aren't.

I think the practicing of shouty pointy and barrier spots in the queue was the highlight of this gig.

We can all be daft together Relic.I like meeting other Manics fans,at least I know they won't be bored of me talking about the boys all the time. But I know what you mean it can be awkward asking if people know about this internet forum.I've had some funny looks in the past asking that very question. |
