FUCK!!!!!!!!!

I've just been slapped with a 20 quid fee from Parcelforce to release my order from HMV Japan (DVD + JFPL cd).

It's totally ridiculous!!!!!! The VAT charge of £6.44 - I have no objections to paying that. But a "Parcelforce Clearance Fee" of £13.50????!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a fucking crime against humanity!!!

a few years ago i had EMS which was fine, but i think that was lucky because it is delivered by parcelforce.

this week i have had my cd's delivered under air mail, they haven't arrived yet, but i also checked the box so that it would be marked as a gift as i bought 2 of the cd's

EMS seems pretty expensive for me, I'd like to know if someone has a good experience with SAL, but I doubt it :-/

I used a seller called eiselvis. They put the value at $8 for all four to avoid customs! Great seller! Took about 5 days to arrive too.

Yeah I got half from them and half from another seller, and both arrived within 4 days. Stunning service.

They are beautiful too, especially the Holy Bible CD picture disks .

my sympathies ..see earlier in the thread for my similar rant. I had ordered the first four releases together. This time i just ordered the truth album on its own and happy days i have it with no customs charge to pay No guarantee the same will happen again but i think it more likely they'll slip thru the net if i order them one by one.

Harsh. I did a quick Google on the fee, and this came up. I wish you the best of luck with it.

I'm having some problems identifying where the live tracks on the Truth reissue are coming from. Pretty sure Kevin Carter from the Tolerate single was on the EMG reissue which means I have no idea where this live version comes from. I also can't find a listing for You Love Us, Motorcycle Emptiness, The Everlasting, and A Design For Life. I vaguely recall a Dutch single that might have had some live tracks...maybe someone here mentioned it to me before?

I assume the version of Tolerate comes from You Stole The Sun, Motown Junk is from Tsunami and Small Black Flowers must come from cassette single of The Everlasting.

Can anyone straighten me out?

If i remember, the live tracks such as Kevin Karter, Motorcycle Emptiness, Small Black Flowers which featured on the TIMT single cassettes were from the Manchester Nynex/MEN 97. I'm sure the remainder of the tracks (Everlasting, Design For Life etc ) were from a Copenhagen promo gig around the release of Tolerate; which originally on a 2 cd TIMT european tour edition.

Hope this helps.
