No point in issuing a third single, then. Best just crack on with the next album and release the two strongest tunes from that. Some (clutching at straws) solace - 44 isn't too bad in the context of how a lot of other bands are fairing these days.

The first Manics Sony single not to be in the top 40 (Stay Beautiful in 1991 just made it at No 40). Maybe this was the bands last shot at mass communication. I do think that Sony still see the band as bankable, even if it's only for their back catalogue and album sales.

Sony would be foolish to drop them after such an amazing run.

I dunno, it's not war was great. The obvious single choice I think. It's just skon I don't like! Rest of the albums great. Skon is still better than swss tho.

Actually I think Postcards as a whole is quite bad. The second half of the album is horrible.
