I could see them doing Caerphilly, actually. It's nearer to Blackwood too, I believe.

Maybe just a general tour of welsh castles!
(looks back and forth between my THB gig tickets, the Qantas web site, and my work leave application forms due tomorrow on the one side, and the prospect of a gig in a FUCKING CASTLE in a few months on the other)

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE?

My first ever gig was in Cardiff Castle too. Stereophonics sadly, but we've all got to start somewhere right...

Do you think dates will be available tomorrow like those gigpack people said? Maybe they will jsut put them up with a short notice announcement to try and prevent touts?

If it's through Ticketmaster then touts already have their tickets set aside before they even go on sale to the rest of us. I've never seen anything to suggest the band give a damn about touts, sadly.

As for the rumour, it's probably crap. If there's anything to it I'd assume an announcement tomorrow and the usual Friday morning scramble when they go on sale.

what can you do really? Demand is always going to outstrip supply even with names on tickets.

personally, i think every ticket sale should've come with a 25 question manics nerd questionnaire that everyone had to get 100% right. Filter out the casuals .
Also anyone that has been to at least 28 gigs in the last 7 years gets automatic entry. They still have to pay though. That's all fair right? I've said they have to pay.

Given that they use twitter, I'd say there's very little chance they aren't aware of it.

Obviously some people will always miss out on tickets to something with limited capacity, but there are ways to increase the chances of tickets getting to actual fans, because I've seen other bands do it. I'm not blaming James, Nicky and Sean personally of course, but I don't believe their management/PR are completely powerless or unaware of the ticketing problems.

I've no idea if there's any truth to that gigpack tweet about tickets going on sale this week and I know Nicky talks a lot of crap at times, but to specifically mention Wales and the Midlands seems odd if they weren't pretty certain they were doing more dates. So even if nothing happens this week, I wouldn't assume it never will.

FD seems to be have been the nicest place about that - some of the comments on social media have been horrible. You can't really blame the band for an institutional problem.

I doubt we'll get this much interest again unless they do another album tour for EMG or Truth. Some of the dates in March/April didn't sell out for a few weeks

^ I think it's possible they didn't realise the demand, given how much backwards and forwards they were doing on the gigs.

Not sure. They must've known it was there as the album always features in the best of lists. Think it has more to do with their emotions about the album and not wanting it to look like they're cashing in..

Yeah, but I got the sense part of their reluctance was the self-doubt that people wouldn't come? maybe just me.

well they do check out this site and there were some people that thought they'd struggle to sell out one date never mind 7 so i don't blame them

It didn't really help when Nicky tweeted his delight at it selling out in twenty minutes.

It's a shame that there was a big publicity push on the gigs which I'm guessing came from the label. The gigs would have sold out without it and probably led to more touting.

There should have been a pre-sale though, it's industry standard for most gigs. It just seems that there's little will either from the band or label to reward fans for keeping them financially secure...
