I haven't heard Tame Impala's new album yet, but their previous album Innerspeaker was AMAZING! Dreamy psychedelia at its best.

The Manics are using a theremin in their new music? I APPROVE!

Haven't had a chance to listen to Tame Ipala either, will have to this weekend...

He's right about that Stones track too. It's a belter.

Here's the two singles from the new album to help you make your mind up if you care to have a listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnKUD...feature=relmfu and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljzehPvr9zk. Elephant is positively T-Rexcellent.

i gave a couple of Tame Impala's tracks a spin on you tube. the first one, Alter Ego, i thought "hello, i like this, quite a psychedelic groove. if this has vocals, please do not let them be the whiny type that seems so popular today". sure enough, a minute in and there we go with a whiny vocalist. not so whiny that i would switch off, but i don't get this trend of bass-free vocalists.

second track, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, sounds like some sort of quasi-Lennon tribute with the vocals?

rather good to a point, but i can understand without seeing them why this would be tricky live, far too complex for a standard gig. give them the equipment and budget of Pink Floyd and it sounds like they could pull of a show, but yeah, this isn't really festival fare, is it?

My friend saw them live in Toronto and it was a relatively small gig, but she said it was good. I agree though, this isn't festival music!

My favorites from Innerspeaker are Lucidity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NONaxCjTsnc and Solitude is Bliss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfQCH-igyT4, but the album as a whole is really good.

I haven't seen or heard such disdain for a movie, since the Wire watched 'eat pray love' on tour! @ManicsPostcards
The film he referring to is Moonlight Kingdom, I film I personally love

I am laughing so freakin hard at Wayne's tweet. God, I'd love to hear Nicky's reaction to Rich Lady Problems: The Movie.

Also adding in my usual "Hey Nicky, know what would make the time go faster? Do some shows in North America!" comment.

Oh wow. Just imagining Nicky's rant on E.P.L. That has to have been interesting.

Could Wayne arrange for it to be shown on the next tour, so he can record Nicky ranting about it, for entertainment's sake?

Considering how mild it was last year in the northeast, they can handle it! If not, there's always spring.
