8/10 for GTreissue in uncut--4/5 in mojo+long piece by the mighty keith cameron-xxx

If that is the last ever episode of 'the thick of it'-then it was a truly brilliant one-great last series-tear in my eye for malcolm xx

I'm taking these two tweets to mean that James can play the theremin, not that Nicky got excited at meeting a theremin player and just randomly started tweeting about it. Anyway, clever James.

I'm sure Nicky said he gave away his The Thick Of It DVDs recently around the time Armando Iannucci got an O.B.E.

James to stay as MSP singer, yes?

If he doesn't stay as singer, I'm out of here. No JDB singing = No MSP. I can forgive the odd Nicky vocal, but James' voice is the primary reason I'm a fan.

Good to know it sounds like they're experimenting a bit again. As much as some of us may wish for a nice old-skool punk album nobody can deny they have produced true greatness when they've tried different things before.

They're too old to be doing punk!

Interesting but I'd rather them do angry punk than godawful Queen-esque numbers. Queen are another hugely fucking overrated band.

Of course they're not! Too old to be doing GT, sure, but there's more to punk than crappy Clash/NY Dolls pastiches. Trail of Dead are in their forties now, they've just brought out their punkiest album to date after years in the proggy wasteland, and no-one's telling them they're too old - because it's good.

That said, I can't see it happening for them, nor can I see them really wanting to do it. They've gone too far down the Blackpool Pier boardwalk now.

It could be that they're planning on putting the show out on DVD or perhaps HQ MP3s to download from www.manics.co.uk.
