So proud of the band to have pulled such a crowd. There were many moments where I turned away from the band just to take in such a crowd singing along to such lyrics.
just starting to go through the thread and spotted this. I watched the crowd too for some of it. Took a couple pics before they came on of a very full arena So much better than that shitty NME gig full of kaiser chiefs fans. I think there was a spontaneous ahhh ahhh from the crowd during Masses aswell. Never heard the crowd respond much to that one before. It's always just been James screaming it

Oddly enough me and my mate who were together for Design right at the front turned round too. Incredible sight.

That Patrick Jones video for She Is Suffering last night was awwwwwful.
However, the reworking of his Yes video for Revol was pretty cool, I'll give him that.

Franny you were doing the same pose as when I saw you in the Justice for the 96 gig but of course on the big screens you looked much bigger

Howdy. I had an absolute blast last night. Met up with several chums and drank in the bleakest Travelodge in the world first, then got a decent spot Wayne's side, about ten rows back. I didn't know what to expect from the O2's sound system, but it sounded fine where I was stood.

Love's Sweet Exile second song in was amazing. Given that they hate it, it was a fucking great version. Highlight was Revol. Hilarious introduction and intense rendition. Absolutely loved hearing Grace Of God, Nixon, and full band Everlasting again. Obviously they're tracks that divide fans, but I'd wanted those for years and they sounded majestic. I assumed Nixon would bomb in a place like that, but somehow they pulled it off. Was surprisingly beefy from the solo onwards. She Is Suffering US mix intro was cool to hear as well.

Gotta make mention of the Know Your Enemy singles here. Found That Soul is always enjoyable live, but I've been bored of Ocean Spray and Let Robeson Sing for a while. Trumpet intro and Gruff's appearance respectively changed that though, really enjoyed them. So Why So Sad sounded a bit flat, but I haven't heard it live since March 2001 so it was still good to hear it again.

Then there was Nina, of course. Night was a success really. Manics pulled off all 38 songs, atmosphere was great, ending was glorious. Not even the few songs I dislike or the gratuitous cunts in the moshpit could've spoiled it. Worth the money and the hangover.

Well you should have watched the big screen Rock pose - headbanging might be the dictionary definition!

Oh, I'll also add that last night was the first time I've ever seen them play Revol. Only took 35 FUCKING GIGS!

The quest for P.C.P. and Elvis Impersonator shall continue in two years.

I can't get over how good Revol was, or that I enjoyed It's Not War. I still can't be doing with Autumnsong or SKON though.

Haha!

Revol was amazing. Amazing. AMAZING. that needs to be brought back into future setlists for sure, everyone went mental.

great craic with Karen Lowri and Ben dancing in the middle, I didn't even want to go up the front, as we had a wee dancefloor to ourselves. This made shite like Autumnsong actually amazing. I swear to god! i was pretty drunk of course, and anyone standing around us probably thought we were complete eejits. especially when falling over and dropping pints etc. But we had our fun!! The Love of Richard Nixon was amazing also. (or sorry Chris Kirkpatrick). I never thought I'd be chanting for a Lifeblood song but the 'Nixon' one was good fun.
You Stole the Sun was a wile random opener, and Found That Soul was placed pretty badly in the set I thought. Should have been 2nd set opener! James was an absolute fox in that sailor top. Oh and i nearly cried loads of times it was wile emotional- espesh that This Is The Day video, and Nicky's wee Richey refs. Oh and also learned it's always unwise to bring a non-Manics fan to a massive arena gig who is completely legless!!!

Oh and there was quite a few people I didn't get to see, which was sad, but it was just too massive! I entrust everyone had a brillant time. it was a really good craic gig, but jesus i was glad when it was over! I needed a drink!
