Hope the Manics tickets are the same, surely a limit has to be introduced, 10 tickets a card would be a licence to print money for touts.

l think this internet sale is a great leveller. Is that a god or bad thing? l hope to fly over from Norway for this and l stand as good a chance as someone that lives next door to the venue of getting a ticket. Unless you can queue up pay for cash at the ticket office of course......

Surely if you can buy at gig venue they would allocate so many for that? so maybe only 200 available on line.

I know i'll probably shot down for writing this, but i would ask that people dont panic buy these tickets please. It is a one-off special show for the anniversary of a great music venue that has launched some great music careers. Try and remember that lots of people will want these tickets, if you cant seriously afford to get there (either financially or practically) it would be morally wrong to buy tickets and then sell them for a huge sum of money on ebay etc, its your fellow manic fans. I appreciate its frustrating that not everyone can go, but they have played other gigs in other places that other people havent been able to get to. I havent been able to travel to gigs much in the last few years due to lack of time and money, the Millennium gig was the last one i got to that was far from home. Those that do go will write about it, post pictures, no doubt stuff on youtube as well.

There are Paolo nutini tickets for this venue on ebay selling for £140 plus for two, that is utterly disgusting, the person should be ashamed of their self. in fact there are 13 different listings for tickets on average selling two tickets. about 26 people out of 300? I will guarantee none of those sellers are PN fans - I hate this system. I'll be throughly disappointed if i cant get a ticket.

I dont mean to upset or anger people, its just my opinion. I wouldnt buy a ticket for a gig in Cardiff for example if i absolutely knew that i could go. Sometimes you just have to admit that you cant do everything. The band dont think any less of you for not going to their every gig.

I'd like to think that no-one here will be considering selling on tickets for a massive profit, but sadly, I think the touts will have a field day on this one. I just hope as many real fans as possible get a ticket.

Sue's right. The capacity is 300 but that doesn't mean they'll be selling 300 tickets. There's guest lists etc aswell to consider. They're going to be gone in about 60 seconds. Stand by your mouse.

I appreciate that you are just stating your opinion, but do you realise how patronising that post sounds? Even if people do get tickets and find they can't go (to this or any other show) they usually get sold on through the Ticket Exchange forum for face value only. I think that others (like me) who would love to go but know they can't, aren't going to just panic buy tickets for the hell of it.

You're talking to Manics fans... not a bunch of primary school kids! Good luck to anyone who is lucky enough to get their hands on them!

And if people want to sell something (whether it be tickets or a pair of shoes) on ebay for more than they paid for it, then why not?!

It's called 'Ingratitude'. I expect something in the region of £20,000.

Sounds reasonable. I reckon the Tate Modern would be interested. I'd assume you'd sign each individual ticket, and scribble out all the relevant information on each such as the band name, date, venue etc.

Cheap at twice the price when you consider the pieces are held together with a mix of CoR tears and stitches made from strands of Nicky's hair...

You can get the limited edition version as well which comes with a pair of Nicky's used pants. Unsurprisingly enough, that version is considerably cheaper.
