If a bootleg were to be released as a live album I'd feel ripped off.

Anything from 1994 sounds truly awesome. I was saying to a friend the other day how underrated I think the band is, as this era of MSP live is simply breathtaking. Such ferocity and amazing guitar playing and raging vocals from James. Plus Richey's guitar sounded good turned up! Wire's ranting.... amazing band.

I think 94-97 was the bands ultimate live peak. Even looking at the footage of them in their prime, in their youth, is spine tingling. I'd love to see the Astoria gigs. They always will be a hugely pivotal moment for the band. Of course they have made great music since then, but I think history will judge that 94 was a band on top of their creative game, the camouflage, the danger, the noise, the sheer we-don't-give-a-fuckery about everything just sums up everything that was great about the band.
Astoria gigs. All of them.

Nynex was the first time I saw them (I'm rather ashamed to say, I don't know WHY (WHY??!!) I didn't see them on THB tour as that's when I started buying the records), and even though we were seated miles back they totally blew me away, so nice to see that getting so much love here. Didn't really think about there being a boot - I assume there's a lot more to it than the video has to offer?

Personally i've always loved the Brixton bootleg from 2007. Amazing quality and the performance is great (if not just for the Motorcycle Emptiness performance).

Also the Reading 2008 set was probably the best I've ever seen them!
