surprised there's yet to be an announcement regarding a release for this yet - it's there (in multiple versions now by the sounds of it!), so why not make it available?
i'd have thought a Heavenly compilation to complement the book would've been an obvious thing to do!

Yes, but the Manics often laugh in the elbow of the obvious (they would laugh in its face, but that is too obvious a place to laugh).

I'm expecting there'll be some sort of release next year, to coincide with the original song's 30th anniversary.

Dunno, but if they don't want you, join my band. We're the next best thing.

The Welsh version is rather pretty and is about 1hr 35 into the show if you check on BBC Sounds.
Only Gwenno in Welsh, as expected, but it's nice to have a full length version without chatter on it. Surely they have to release these in some form though ? |

I think 'release' these days just means 'an mp3 will be put on a website' doesn't it?

So am I the only one who initially thought James was singing in Welsh until realising they were victim to mishearing the lyrics again...

Will the Welsh version go up anywhere else? Can't be arsed to log in to sounds to find it. I've got the app but it's not coming up. Feeling very laaaazzy

Yet, I've sneakily recorded it and can do some digital fiddling about/salvaging (like the other version, of which no-one ever probably heard my remix/remaster), so if it's never officially released, let me know.

Sounds lovely but again why in god's name can't we get a decent download of things like this? So many tracks over the years just existing as tin-cup quality downloads of compressed streams and i get their "digital hiss of hysteria" lack of engagement but it shouldn't be difficult to whack up a link to at least a decent quality mp3.

I'd be happy with them to be chucked on Spotify. Don't need to own it but easy access to listen to it whenever I want would be nice

Sure, even that would be better than nothing but we don't even get that.
