They're really pushing the tour like it was a new album. I think they should just bite the bullet and do an album/EP together and make it a proper thing.

... it's almost as if they didn't expect it to sell anywhere near as well as it has and they lined up far more promo interviews than necessary!

James shops at the shop I work in in Cardiff. I’ve seen him twice now, only bothered him the first time!

Are you going to reveal some shocking truths about his shopping habits?

I've got to ask, what flavours is he into?
I reckon James is a salt and vinegar man, Nicky Cheese and Onion but Sean is always trying the strangest flavours he can find on the supermarket shelves. |

Quote:
Sean's favourite crisp was the Hedgehog flavoured crisp invented in the 1980s, but he boycotted them after finding out they didn't contain real hedgehog extract. |

reading that list and seeing the number of now unavailable flavours/brands picked by Nicky and James confirms my theory that Sean turns up for rehearsals with a bag of the newest type of Walkers Sensations and the rest of the band refusing to try any out of some sort of principle.

James is obviously heavy on salt and synthetic flavours, I can relate being born in the 70s.
Sean Moore is above considering crisps as a concept. He eats energy. (Yes I'm having a bit of a throwback laugh to this made up stuff about Sean) |

On a related note does anybody know who I have to write to get the band to start doing those lists again? It's been fifteen years since the last one for gawd's sake!

25th of February Nicky is a guest on Cerys's 6 Music show.
New album news beacon not being lit yet. But start collecting the firewood. And then make sure no hedgehogs or animals have made their homes in them before lighting. |

Wire is standing in for Iggy Pop for the next 3 Sunday afternoons on BBC Six music. He's just played World Destruction by Time Zone, which raised a SPLaM related smile for me.

Was hoping for a bit more chat from Nicky - maybe he'll speak a bit more next week now his first one is over!
