RAAAAAGE. I've been asking for a refund for two weeks, now they've finally got round to getting back to me and have said they'll honour a refund when I return the vinyl. Which I don't have. And if, by some miracle, they've dispatched it, it would have been AFTER I cancelled my order and requested a refund. I could facepalm myself into oblivion right now.

ETA:

"Thank you for your recent email.

I empathise with your upset and frustrations, however as the item has been ordered for you, I am unable to stop this from being processed and sent out as this has a status of being despatched.

I am so very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any additional queries in the meantime.

Kind regards"

Getting... stabby...

I have no idea where else to ask this, I can't find anything online. How do I get a refund through my bank?

The magazine people took my money (like everyone's) and didn't dispatch the goods, still haven't dispatched the goods and will not give me a refund. I suppose I'll have to call my bank of needs be (I have a phone fear...). Wish I'd have just bought it from the shops >

you will have to contact your bank and advise them that it's a disputed transaction, that you were debited and no goods / services received.

might take a couple of days but you should get a refund. if companies fuck around too much and get lots of disputes they get blocked from doing EFT transactions.

Thanks. Been having a look online and it seems that, because I used a Visa Debit card, I do get some protection, and that I can file a chargeback claim. Gonna ring my branch rather than the call centre in Hyderabad, because it seems it's not a well known service and I suppose it might be easier to explain to someone in Birmingham

That's my next step. I rang my bank and they've given me a temporary refund of the cost of the magazine. Temporary in that they can take it back if I get the vinyl delivered! Which is ridiculous, they've still reneged on a contract, and after insisting that they cancel my order and give me a refund in PLENTY of time, anything they send me is a gift as far as I'm concerned...

But yeah, trading standards is next. Know anything about how to do that?

Not really but citizens advice might be able to help.

They have paid staff and real power. Don't ring Citizen's Advice, they're overloaded as it is, and will only tell you to go to TS. It's better to take complaints about this kind of stuff straight to TS.

I've still not received my copy either and tbh I don't want it anymore, I want a refund. James (MSPKYE) has a spare copy he's giving to me, so this company can go fuck themselves as far as I'm concerned. But if they're not even prepared to issue refunds, god knows what my next move is. I was going to e-mail them today (assuming it hasn't arrived in today's post, which I very much doubt it will) and if they just said they'd send another, I was going to say after 28 days after dispatch, if it's officially 'lost' in the post, rather then send me 'another' one, could I just have my money back...but I bet they won't go for that either. May well have to talk to my bank, as I also paid with a Visa Debit card.

I think if we all get together on this we can sort it,we should see who hasn't or didn't get the mag or refund.

I have 2 spare copies of this still, so if anyone has missed out, PM me. If not, I may be listing them on Ebay.

Ring your bank, make a Visa debit chargeback. Apparently, some banks' customers services don't know you can do this, so keep pressing. You'll need details like when you ordered, paid for and expected the item, as well as details of correspondence. Nothing 5 minutes of looking at online banking and your inbox won't show. Definitely worth it! And, like Quinbo said, the more the merrier. It'll be hard for them to prove that so many of us are wrong, therefore we're more likely to keep our refunds.

Thanks for the TS link and help, everyone else!

I have just discussed with my friend about our Qs. We bought lots of stuffs over the internet from Ebay, Amazon, HMV etc. (to deliver to the other side of the world) And it mostly takes a week for delivery. But this Q mag is taking more than 3 weeks till now. It seems I'm not the only one.

What can I do with them ? Should I start yelling and just waiting .... ?

Start emailing them. Don't ask why it's taking so long because (at best) they'll hive you an excuse. Say something like, this I the only thing that's ever taken more than a week to reach me'. Best of luck!
