I'm guessing we're all gonna get this letter in the next week or so. I think someone has threatened them with Trading Standards!

Thanks! Tim is a legend!

May check Chapters bookstore on the weekend to see if they have it.

I did see a USB turntable at Winners/TK Maxx during lunch, so that may be an option.

if it saves you a trip / disappointment, don't forget it was "exclusive to WH Smiths", wasn't it?

did anyone ever post pics of the vinyl here? if not, just done some for my blog

apologies for the low quality

No true disappointment as it would be a piece of vinyl that I couldn't play. Only collect dust.

I feel guilty having walked past copies of it in WH Smiths with no intention of buying it. I haven't got a record player (see I even call it record player instead of turntable! But that's not because I can't spell vinal vynal vynyl) and I did think of buying it for people but I'm not sure I'm trusted to be entrusted with other people's money. Plus I don't know how much it weighs or the postage. I'd rather not do recorded delivery as that would make it even worse for costs. So... sorry, I've said this before in this thread haven't I?

Mine will be collecting dust as well. Might get myself a turntable one day though!

I got a letter last night apologising that the magazine was now out of stock and I would be getting a full refund. But also that I would still get the vinyl free of charge as a goodwill gesture.

That's if they do actually fulfill it and manage to deliver the vinyl; it was seemingly too much for them in the first place.
