It's the only Manics album I don't own and I don't intend on buying it. It's hardly a career highlight, but I don't mind the singles on it. Time will judge it as one of their lesser albums.

For me it's 5th.
Some Kind of Nothingness, and Golden Platitudes rank as my favourite Manics tracks, tbh. I think it's a great album, overrall, too. I would rank it about second, or third. My opinnions oscillate wildly, depending on my moodswings, though.

It's the ones who like Postcards but dislike SATT and like SATT but dislike Postcards that confuse me!

SATT is heavier and less 'poppy', at least to me - I prefer it to Postcards but love them both.

SATT is a wee bit heavier, indeed!

I own the deluxe edition of PFAYM. I was still really into the Manics when I preordered it so also preordered the normal album and vinyl. As soon as I heard the abysmal music that was going to be on the album I cancelled the normal and vinyl version. I wish I'd cancelled the deluxe too. It's a constant reminder of why I went off The Manics. I keep it in the dark, in a box which I never open.
