Though if I had to pick a side, I'm with you lot all the way. Nobody should have to endure twats banging into people in a gig. Just a shame the security are such a joke at venues like the O2

It's ironic, isn't it - everyone's frisked, put through an X-ray machine, bag checked (I always say loudly OH NO YOU'LL SEE MY TAMPONS! Cos I'm so hilarious...), buy water and they'll take the cap off it.... We even got told off for standing outside the white line in the auditorium, but heck, some massive fucker can just aggressively plough his way through a load of slighter women and they do sod all about it.
It was quite funny in a way. I was p;unching his back, even with my bad finger (I shut it in a door in Soho earlier in the day) and I took one last swing, and as I pivoted my arm forward, my poor beaded bracelet, circa 2003, sailed off into the darkness. Goodbye bracelet, you served me well. |

I didn't really get what he meant by that. Someone care to explain? He's not slagging it off is he?! Cause that song is awesome.

That was James laughing at themselves for naively thinking they had written a song as universal as Every Breath You Take. She Is Suffering is a damn good track, but it's not an all time classic in the way EBYT is.

I know, it just infuriates me. Complete and utter RUDENESS! I remember going to an Idlewild gig and wanting to batter these two blokes who were just constantly talking to each other throughout the gig.

It's so disrespectful to the band and their actual fans - I can understand going to a gig of a band who's music you don't really know so long as you're prepared to give it a chance, but when you have no interest in even listening to them then what's the point?! I'll never forget a Cribs gig I went to in Doncaster a couple of years ago - There was a bloke there who was stood in front of me with his back to the stage not even watching, and also along with quite a lot of the audience he was throwing stuff at The Slits (who were supporting), and it's just like, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT BANDS OF THE 20TH CENTURY (the Slits not the Cribs!) AND IF YOU AREN'T EVEN GOING TO TRY AND APPRECIATE THEM THEN FUCK OFF. The audience was so disgusting that night that there was an article in the NME about it, I think. Eurgh.

Huh, ok. That's better. I have no relation to EBYT really (other than knowing it from the radio etc), so I couldn't figure out what he meant. Thanks for explaining.

Me either. When I saw Cheap Trick last month, there was this really obnoxious group behind me of people who got really drunk really fast and spent the rest of the night leaving the general admission area to buy more overpriced cocktails from the bar. Then during the show, they spent more time taking pictures of themselves with their phones than watching the group! That, and one of the guys kept dancing and fist-pumping and knocking into me. Not cool.

I think they just don't know how to behave at a gig. I mean, you'd think they'd get an idea from what everyone else is doing, ie. watching the band, but it's as if they feel a bit awkward being there and quite possibly I would imagine some of them don't like not being the centre of attention (see also people who won't switch their phones off in cinemas, dickheads on public transport etc) - they just want to show off to their mates. HO HO AREN'T WE GREAT. No you're not, you're an oxygen thief, here, take this bunch of fives. And really, no need to say thank you.

I don't understand why those people who going to a gig and just ruin for everyone else that around them. like, they don't stop talking, pushing with no reason, getting to wild. It's embarssing the other fans that knows how to behave in the gig.
