despite the speculation, sadly i think we can all guess exactly what the tracklist for this will be (and sorry if glancing at the below makes people think this has been officially announced!):

disc 1 - remastered (a la NT):

1. Slash 'n' Burn
2. Nat West–Barclays–Midlands–Lloyds
3. Born to End
4. Motorcycle Emptiness
5. You Love Us
6. Love's Sweet Exile
7. Little Baby Nothing
8. Repeat (Stars and Stripes)
9. Tennessee
10. Another Invented Disease
11. Stay Beautiful
12. So Dead
13. Repeat (UK)
14. Spectators of Suicide
15. Damn Dog
16. Crucifix Kiss
17. Methadone Pretty
18. Condemned to Rock 'n' Roll

disc 2 - remastered b-sides and laughingly inappropriately titled "rarities":

1. Suicide Alley
2. Tennessee (I Get Low)
3. UK Channel Boredom
4. New Art Riot
5. Strip It Down
6. Last Exit On Yesterday
7. Teenage 20/20
8. Motown Junk
9. You Love Us (Heavenly)
10. Starlover
11. R.P. McMurphy
12. Soul Contamination
13. Democracy Coma
14. A Vision Of Dead Desire
15. We Her Majesty's Prisoners
16. Sorrow 16
17. Ain't Goin' Down
18. Bored Out Of My Mind
19. Never Want Again
20. Dead Yankee Drawl

disc 3 - DVD

music videos (as per Forever Delayed DVD):

'Motown Junk' (Snub TV)
'You Love Us (Heavenly Recordings version)' (Tony Van Den Ende)
'You Love Us (Sony Music version)' (W.I.Z.)
'Stay Beautiful' (Walter Stern)
'Love's Sweet Exile' (W.I.Z.)
'Slash 'n' Burn' (Tony Van Den Ende)
'Motorcycle Emptiness' (Martin Hall)
'Little Baby Nothing' (Small and B Swells)

30 minute JDB & Wire interview / retrospective thing

maybe complete gig of ropey live footage taken in 1991/2 or so.

-----

if they are digging out Nicky's old tapes, chances are we may get a smattering of demos (which we already own from the early bootlegs), or maybe the Streetcar intro for LBN...

...this is all my worst case scenario (and chances are I'll be buying it whatever they put on there) - but yeah, hopefully there'll be something worthwhile or different to the above on there - hopefully some alternative versions, scrapped songs, genuinely unheard things... come on guys, this one's obviously for the fans, surprise us.

The DVD will be the real selling point for me so I hope it's bloody good and some time and effort goes into it to make it special. A full gig or so would be amazing, TV performances, some festival stuff (like Reading 92) would be ace and of course any behind the scenes / unseen footage and of course the guys now talking about the making of the album. I've always thought with the HB and EMG packages they could have crammed so much more onto the DVDs but they're still cool.

I really doubt/hope that anything pre Sony will be included so my guess at cd 2 would be the bsides recorded in the GT sessions and demos . Hopefully any live tracks will be genuine rarities too

I think you're right. Plus some of the pre Sony material is owned by other labels such as Damaged Goods and Heavenly so might be not be allowed to be included onto this edition.

a wish/hope would be that they look at the staggeringly excellent Suede deluxe editions from last year (or was it the year before?) and use that as a blueprint. this in particular would relate to the DVD.

i am sure one or two here have at least one of the reissues, and the DVD is ace. they did not hesitate to include less-than-pro shot concert footage on them, clearly done with a Marty McFly JVC video camera in the crowd. i'd like to think that they took the decision that fans would want any footage available. if there's only less-than-perfect footage, we still want it, surely?

not too bothered about the CDs really. cleaned up album will be nice and the extras will have a curiosity value, but getting the DVD right will be the selling point.

The Suede re-issues were fantastic. 2 CDs which had some genuine rarities and unheard stuff on them, and a brilliant DVD, all for £10! Come on Manics, top that!

Oh they will. 2 CDs with stuff everyone's got, a blank cassette and a one-size fits-all plain tshirt in a cereal box. £50.

fixed the price, and the blank cassette is not as outrageous as you think. when they first started selling albums on tapes, it was not uncommon to have the album on side one and it blank on side two for you to record what you wanted. i know that The Police did this (or was it Blondie?).
