Yeah, we spent the Cribs' set at the bar! Nicky seemed quiet, but there were some brilliant moments, Tolerate was the most rocking I'd ever heard it live.

Not the greatest setlist but it was absolutely fantastic!
James' voice was on top form, lots of interaction with the crowd and they just sounded brilliant. Loved it.

These setlists are pretty boring, only 2 songs from the first three albums? Oh well, the important point is that the people who went enjoyed themselves!

i enjoyed the gig,the cribs are a terrible band.
cracking venue for a gig.
loved no surface..also nice touch by James dedicating ocean spray to the NHS..

I loved it.

If I'd been to as many gigs as many of you here have I'd perhaps be more non-plussed by the set-list, but despite my fandom of the band I've not been able to see them live very often (mostly due to health issues which have thankfully changed slightly in the last year and a half or so in such a way that I could manage this one...).

So I really enjoyed what they played. I wouldn't have personally yearned for It's Not War, This is the Day or Show Me The Wonder beforehand, but (probably due to to having never experienced them live before) I enjoyed them more than I would have thought I would have.

The crowd were mostly great. I stood just beyond the main beer-launching zone thankfully. the ticker-tape/streamers and confetti looked fantastic.

Rain held off for most of the line-up, I think it was during Dream Wife that we got the worst of it. I thought all 4 support acts were decent enough, I wouldn't be as harsh as some about the Cribs but I will say they were my least favourite, especially given their prominence of being the last ones on before the Manics. I like the energy and potential of Dream Wife. I thought The Old Pink House and Public Service Broadcasting were both properly great.

Lol, gonna be the same every tour isn't it? Alright, two albums from their first three albums... Quarter of their back catalogue, be nice to make up a quarter of the set. I'd love it if they mixed it up a bit, but I'm not gonna grumble too much if they don't cos seeing my favourite band is privilege enough as it is. Is it that we expect more from our favourite bands? I don't think they're as bad as people make out for their sets really, they always bring at least a couple in that they've not touched for say 5 years. This year being, My Little Empire, Send Away The Tigers, The Second Great Depression, This Is The Day, Found That Soul and Indian Summer...

Yeah, there'll always be some bands that are more adventurous with their sets, and there'll always be others who won't budge at all. I mean, I've seen Radiohead three times in 14 years, and I swear a dozen of those songs were the same each time. Still, a dozen albums and over a quarter of a century to choose from.. I'd like to think if I were in a position like they are, where they've had their commercial peak, they've got a well estabilished and loyal fan base, I'd think fuck it, nowt to lose and just do whatever.

I very much enjoyed it. I did not expect a radical set list as it's the type of gig that a greatest hits set is expected of. So it was nice to hear No Surface and My Little Empire, and i'm wondering if the comments JDB made prior to the latter is an indication of where some of the new lyrical content is going. Could of done with out This is the Day though.

The ticker tape malfunction was rather funny and I hope they sent Martin round to collect the ticket money from the people watching from the balcony of their flats overlooking the venue!

The crowd were better than I was expecting. It may have been a 'home' gig for me, but I rarely go to gigs in Newcastle these days as the venue's/crowds are dire.
