No new album tracks performed tonight or any new curios. Glad I didn't go now.

Back in hotel after gig - I actually got bollocked by two bouncers for 'jumping too much' and was told to 'calm down'. I was confused and thought they were trying to get to someone behind me who needed assistance as did two others guys next to me. That ruined my night and I was then afraid to jump and enjoy myself. The two guys around me said ignore the bouncers and enjoy myself. Two women after at the end of the gig couldn't believe I was told off. Really put a damper on it for me. Come the end of Design for Life I gave the bouncer the middle finger and shouted at them to fuck off as I was pissed off. Anyway, the Manics were really good as always. Crowd around me were okay, quite vocal, some had no idea at all. Filmed a few songs, so might upload tomorrow.

I decided to drive the fifty odd miles there rather than get a hotel. I barely slept last night with excitement, so by the time I'd dropped my gig buddy off at her place I was very tired. But now I'm not sleepy at all.
Two from KYE in the setlist, reflecting the 20 year anniversary. I didn't mind the covers at all, watching JDB strut his stuff on an amazing guitar solo is always a pleasure.

There’s an urban legend that if you moan about covers five times, Autumnsong appears.

Looking forward to seeing pics and videos. Even if sound quality doesn't travel across.

And here are the two videos I got. Sadly the video goes out of focus for a while on SCOM for some random reason. The sound is really good on both, I'm really pleased with them

Still trying to process last night... obviously fantastic to be back seeing any live music let alone my favourite band, and as always the old faithfuls in the set sounded perfect and like meeting back up with an old friend.... but.... and I hate to be a set list moaner.... but... it was a rather uninspiring set list (and only 1 h 15 at that). I know for festivals they've got to play it fairly safe, but last night was billed as a Manics gig. Would slipping in one lesser played album track from some random point in their career really have hurt?

Stop jumping and stare at the gig through your phone, for goodness sake! There shall be no enjoyment here! What a completely bizarre, jobsworth reaction. I love that full band shot by the way, all in blood red and looks like a warning not a threat.

Glad you liked the photos and videos guys And yes Tim, it was a very jobsworth reaction by them. As the band walked off at the end and I finished applauding them I gave the said security morons the middle finger and shouted a few words at them before disappearing into the sea of people which made me feel a little better. They really did ruin the gig after shouting at me for enjoying myself after 18 months of no live music or fun. Anyway.

Random question, in The Secret He Had Missed was James singing Julia's part with an incredibly convincing accent or did they play back the recorded version over the top? It looked like James was singing the lines, but it sounded like such a good replication of her vocal that I wasn't sure.
