It's fine, I'm fairly high up in the stalker ranks, I always recognise people from here and they have no clue how I know them but Saturday was the first time people had actually recognised me first!

I donīt really know what to say....it was an amazing gig. TBTGOG was beautiful, Revol was amazing, the band really should play them regularly. I remember my eyes welling up during the first few songs as well as TLORN. The band were on top form and seemed to be really up for it. Nina was better than I expected, thankfully. I was pleased to see Nicky breaking his bass in the end. Iīd really like it if the background videos were made available to watch on the official website, especially the one with the blonde girl with the blue sash. The red background on the LSE video was a nice touch. The old footage from Japan was beautiful. Poor Nicky and his shoulder, he was obviously in pain, hope it heals soon.
The security were total cunts, telling me "not to run or youīll go in the back, Madam"- try and catch me and make me stand at the back, cunt. I didnīt even get the ticket stub back, it seemingly never occurred to the security people that people might want to keep them as mementos? Never had that happen before. Thank you to the guy standing next to me who tried to help me during the interval when I lost my friend into the crowd and tried to look for her and gave me water when the staff gave it out. Saw Dexter and Franny, Iīve never spoken to either of you but recognised you from the forum. Lots of familiar faces around whose names I donīt know. Going home tomorrow, departing Heathrow at 18, then on a connecting domestic flight, wonīt be home until 01.00 at the earliest. Havenīt even packed yet, quite typical of me, Iīm always late for everything.

It's quite common...they were giving some out afterwards, but it wasn't very obvious.

You think that's bad? It was Ģ4.60 or Ģ4.80 or something for a pint of Coke! Fucking 22,900% markup, or something in that region. It just shouldn't be legal to have soft drinks being more expensive than alcohol - what kind of message is that supposed to be sending out?!? Why are those of us who want to remain sober in order to maximise the enjoyment of the gig being punished?

when he says rhythm section he normally means sean, and he said last but not least, i think he meant to introduce sean and then went into nicky....so he either forgot or got mixed up....did he not introduce nicky earlier on?

I was 100% sure he was going to introduce Sean, but then he said something like "very articulate" and I thought... WHAT?! Is he taking the piss?!

i got a bit mixed up too, when he said last but not least, but then interpreted as talking of both of them as the best ryhthm section in the world, because he had already intorduced sean and wayne before. I loved Nickys James introduction too, i love the way James called Nick his best friend and Sean his brother. It was also lovely to see the obvious closeness and friendship this band has, when james went up to Nicky and rubbed his shoulder when he had hurt it i nearly melted. It's lovely to see that friendship come through on stage

Were these box office collection tickets or just meeting others with the tickets? Fot the Kylie tour earlier this year Seetickets imposed an utterly ridiculous rule that stopped people picking tickets up until late afternoon which caused issues for people wanting to queue.

Has anyone noticed that Sean had an extra snare to the left of the hi-hat?
I wasn't watching him at the time but I wonder if he used it during Motorcycle Emptiness. He normally does without it but there is an extra snare beat on the studio version that's played with the left hand coming off the hi-hat. It's difficult to hit the snare accurately but much easier if you have a second snare on the left hand side! |
