It's #4 in the midweeks today.
So I doubt that it will be in top 5.

I wonder how these "midweek" charts come out, as it's only Tuesday morning. Still, if it is currently placed at #4 after most of us have bought our 3 copies, the single is bound to drop now

Unless of course the recordstore stuff that has been messed up does not get counted until it is despatched. But I am afraid that the only way is down now

Not sure what charts you are looking at but its Number 3 in the offical midweeks. Kate nash #1 then Rihanna then the Manics (very slightly behind).

Should stay top 10, on that basis.

Also do recordstore only charge on dispatch.

If so they won't be counted.

There isn't one released, it's just for the industry.

Rihanna’s Umbrella (Def Jam), having spent 10 weeks at number one - the longest period of any single this century - looks likely to fall to three, ahead of a new entry from the Manic Street Preachers with Autumnsong (Columbia).
Kate Nash number one
Timbaland number two
Rihanna three
Manics four

Hmm. Reckon we'll be likely to make the top 10 at this rate. Still, I got both the CDs today and have just purchased the acoustic...need to get my vinyl too.

It's weird how this is doing so much worse than YLAINE. Is it less promo, a worse song, or just that YLAINE benefitted from the buzz of SATT, pre-release, where as everyone has forgotten about it now?

The album has been out for a while and so the buzz has certainly died down - lead singles off an album usually do best anyway. Also, the quality of the videos are poor and are not getting as much play. I also wonder is this recordstore cock up might not be helping.

Think it might have something to do with the fact that they are up against acts like Rhianna, Kate Nash and Timbaland who are really popular at the moment.
Can't remember off hand but pretty sure that Beyonce/Shakira song was their only major competition the week YLAINE was released.
Obviously the days of the band being a massive commercial success have passed.
On the subject of the Recordstore cock-up does it matter about the delivery of the cd's surely as soon as the order for a single is placed that will count to the sales?
