Just spoken to a contact at Hall or Nothing.

Tonight is almost definitely off. No concrete news for tomorrow. Official confirmation within half an hour.

January could be good though ... just think, it'll give us all something to look forward to after christmas?

From a purely selfish point of view, I'm kind of pleased cos I have flu myself and feel like utter crap so it'll be nice to see them when I'm back to full health. Also, I was only going tomorrow cos I have other plans for this evening but hopefully I'll be able to make both of the new dates.

I do feel horribly sorry for anyone who has travelled a long distance/ spent a fortune on attending these shows though. I hope you manage to still have a fun time anyway.

I think the fact I'm asthmatic probably doesn't help, and the fact that James is a smoker probably has a similar effect.
It's the kind of thing that happens when you're already run down or in James's case, smoking 20 a day. Singing is his career so he either copes with it or gives up smoking at least in the run up to a tour where he has to preserve his voice. It's the fact that they do it all the time, give some flimsy illness excuse and expect that to be compensation for all the money people waste on going to see them. They have such a bad record for it.

Proper gutted for those who wave travelled from all over. But, this is the hand fate has dealt us and I've got a train to London and a hotel booked tomorrow, so I'm going along anyway.

Pretty crap news but I'd rather see a fully recovered James than a half-arsed one who can't sing Masses and lets the backing singers and the crowd do half the vocals.

I'm gutted for everyone that has travelled for this - I hope you can make the best out of the day.

Apparently James has been cutting down his smoking quite a bit but I'm not quite sure what its down to.

When I spoke to James in Aberdeen ( while he was smoking ) he said he had cut down a hell of a lot.

Good to see you posting on here! *waves* I echo your sentiments entirely. When I'd heard that Tuesday's gig had been postponed, I was also hoping for tomorrow to be cancelled, because I am also getting over the 'flu and was unsure if I would be able to make it tomorrow night. This at least gives me a chance to get better (and James too). I would much rather see MSP when them & I are feeling 100%.
