Together Stronger, the song for the Wrestler and the song for the one in the link.
An entire concept album about Sports, but to make it work they have to cover this.

I think the relative failure of the PFAYM singles might have burned them, but for a special Euro 2016 tie-in, it would be good to see something more than a download.
At the very least, the Manics are quids in for every future sport song compilation released from now until the end of the 21st Century at the least!
Yeah, the death of the physical single is quite a loss for bands who put out good b-sides. The worst thing is if they were on an indie label they'd probably have more of a chance of persuading them to put a physical release out - majors have no interest in the format any more sadly. I'm still awaiting Japanese vinyl-replica 2CD versions of the post-SATT albums to complete my b-sides collections in easily listenable formats.

Having lived most of my life just outside of Leicester, however, I'm going to have to disown Nicky until the season's over.

As a Manics b-sides obsessive this is a matter of considerable concern to me. Mercifully, the band are creatures of habit so hopefully they will continue to reflexively put out what have become known as 'bonus tracks' or 'extra tracks' at the same tempo as before.

Everything since Anthem For A Lost Cause has been digital download yet has had 'b-side' tracks released for download at the same time.

(I'm trying to be optimistic, really.)

It is true that B-sides are a bit of a loss to certain bands who happened to be strong at them. That said, the release of those tracks suited the format perfectly, especially when singles were such a massive deal. The good thing is, bands can do little one off EP's and offcuts instead, to show some of their songs that have non album status and don't fit anywhere else.
