We have exclusive interviews with the band regarding Journal For Plague Lovers that were filmed on the US tour and have not appeared elsewhere.

I've been away from this forum a while, but this has always been on my mind. When can we see it? It'd be dead lovely.

More chance of Richey turning up than No Manifesto.

I'm so utterly fed up of waiting for this to come out that I no longer have an interest in seeing it. I'd much rather just hear new music from the band than watch a documentary that is 5-6 years old.

It's an awesome film and must be seen. I enjoyed it far, FAR more than the last couple years worth of gigs.

I'm sure it's well made and enjoyable but I already know what has happened in the last 5 years or so that I feel the entire thing is slightly redundant. If Sony had just allowed it to be released much, much earlier, it would have had some kind of impact but as per usual, they dropped the ball. I'm just very meh about the entire thing now.

It's alright, and an admirable project at the time. But hardly anyone aside from those who've made the effort to see it thus far will care. It's not Scorsese with Shine A Light or No Direction Home. It's Nicky with his compost heap and some great nostalgia (even more so now it's so old...) for those who were there or wanted to be there. It could do with just being put online and downloaded by whoever wants it.

And the thoroughly awesome European tour this year has already surpassed 90% of the last few years of gigs combined.

You didn't attend the International Treasures tour, did you?

edit: mind you, I obviously know that not everyone had the chance to go, that is why I'd avoid slagging off the latest gigs without distinction

Sorry to said that but Shine A Light is a monumental piece of shit, which says nothing about the band, the audience is fake (seriously, they were models hired for the gig) and they edited so much the songs it has nothing to do with a real gig.
Whatever people think of it qualities, No Manifesto gives us an 'internal' vision of the band (as far as they agree, I am fully aware of that) and that's not that common.

That's the thing, it's very much about stuff that we haven't lived through the past 5 years. It's quite like the Foo Fighters film if you've seen that.

Believe me, you really can't compare the O2 gig, even though it was great, with the gigs of the Internetional Treasures tour.

Why? Because more of the FD clique got to go to em? Because people pissed hundreds of pounds up the wall so they could go?
