When they struck up on "Your Love Alone Is Not Enough", there was a very audible "Oh, this band" from the girls in front of me.

Sigh

Dex's and UEF's pics are fabulous. I'll see if any of mine came out later.

Just as I joined the competition queue, I heard a voice say 'Stop stamping!' Made it just by the skin of my teeth.

A thanks to the two tallish guys who let two short girls infront of them. It was deeply appreciated.

My pal and I were both deeply amused and rather admired the couple who snogged all the way through Motown Junk and A Design For Life. Oh to be young and in love.

Being on the edge of the mosh area was...interesting. Glad to see people having fun. I think next time, I'm going to have to aim for the barrier to get a good view, either that or a periscope.

It was my first manics gig, the first one I've been to since uni! There were lots of people around who blatently hadn't heard a Manics song since the 90's, but there was a nice atmosphere. James obviously gives everything to every show regardless. I could hear Nicky's bass playing, and very good it was. He's being self-deprecating when he says he can't play.

I couldn't hear anything wrong with the keyboards. The video screens were about 1 second out of sync, which made watching them make me feel a bit queasy.

A few people today have said to me, upon hearing of my excursion yesterday and having won the tickets that ' it's a shame you didn't win for a good band.' What. The. Actual. Fuck? Does anybody else get this, or is it just me? I think they were rather taken aback at my vehement, ' I LIKE them! A LOT!'

Also, dear Cab driver, why did you ask if we were sisters? My friend has an Australian accent? I don't.

Rather funny was the mosh pit that opened up towards the end of It's Not War or some other relatively tame song... only to sheepishly collapse again when there was no "heavy bit" coming.

That was quite funny. Moshing for the sake of moshing. I particularly adored the girl who started moshing right behind me and whacked me on the head. She then barged her way forward, pissing off a few people before someone ushered her towards the rest of the moshers.

I forgot to say how much I enjoyed the sight of Nick loping around in circles on the stage.

Good to hear the keyboard issues were(more or less) only related to the stream.

Yeah, the keyboards sounded off when I was watching it on iTunes and the trumpet sounded a little out of tune, but that could have been the stream as well heh.

Is it just me, or was Nicky's mic turned down really really low? I could barely hear him when he did his part in Your Love Alone, and even when he was slagging off the Royal Family, it was really quiet! The parts that weren't bleeped, that is heh.

Had a great time last night! Think I've made a convert of my best friend too. I didn't notice anything out of ordinary with the sound but I think the band did, Nicky and James kept signalling to people off stage.

Have seen a lot of reactions from folks on Facebook, Twitter and on here for whom this was their first gigs and they really enjoyed it. Fair play to them - as far as the band goes, I guess this is the idea! I'm trying not to sound like a twisted 'old fan' about it

I did, thanks Tracey!

No I didn't notice crazy keyboards, I said it before, but I'll say it again, I think it was the stream. I hope the itunes gig download for this comes up at some time. I'll save my free download thingy for it.

Well, anyway, this is my video of The Everlasting. Apologies if you can hear my drone-like voice in the background. This was taken at full stretch of my right hand above the crowds heads, so it's a bit wobbly.

You need to copy the link at the bottom of the album page (says "share with anyone" or something similar)
