Dude, really?! You don't like 'Litany'? I agree about 'All Alone Here' - I foolishly forgot to include it.

It's alright, I once had it on a compilation tape for my car radio, I actually think it has a poor production and could sound good enough to be an album track had more effort gone into it; James's vocals are untypically dull sounding on it.

Also I slightly prefer No Jubilees, though not sure it beats the album tracks.

Nirvana ARE an amazing band but at some point in the early 2000s i was ashamed to like them as kids were going round with Nirvana hoodies who didn't know anything other than Smells like Teen Spirit!

I know what you mean but I guess it had the opposite effect on me. Just made me feel that they really were a band for my generation and that the kids today will take a little longer to actually discover the real genius of Nirvana. The negative side-affect of that is you feel superior to the kids

The age at which I heard TLORN has clearly clouded my judgement on the song, but still I can't decide whether I like it or not. I can't help hearing references to Richey in it. Sometimes I think it sounds so weird it's great, and sometimes it is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. It really is proof that you can make yourself like anything if you want to like it enough.

I'm really glad that You were not the Lifeblood executive producer because that album would have been their absolutely worst. I like only 4 songs of it!
They make a good job with songs selection that time (logical after KYE), I'd only swap Always/Never for Everyone Knows/Nobody Cares

They couldn't have used All Alone Here. It's just a few words repeated again and again. Don't get me wrong I like it but the lyric sucks...
Antarctic is one of their worst songs ever and I'm sure they also think so A fake country ballad. Any change would make it better, even Nicky's vocals

Worse than Coldplay??? Bullshit. I prefer both SWSS and TLORN to Ready For Drowning and many other songs. SWSS is nothing special, it's a normaln retro tune but well produced. TLORN is weird but after two months of litening to it I found a hidden beauty in it. It's not just a coincidence that TLORN brings back the memories of 2004 to me more than my faves ES and SSI!

I think it's a really good song. "Richard the 3rd in the white house, cowering behind divided curtains" always makes me shiver a little bit. I guess if you look hard enough you could also find a lot of richey references, which is always fun to do in a manics song.

I like whiterevolver's description of TLORN, something about a pervert with a casio keyboard breathing through your letterbox or something.
