Also since it hadn't been confirmed yet the Melbourne gig (and most likely all the others) is 18+ not all ages. Personally I'd say just try with a fake ID but keep in mind that you can't get your ticket refunded if you're rejected and I'm not sure how strict they are at the forum.

Nah have not heard of such a thing here. They are strict at the forum as a rule, the laws here around people under 18 even being in a licensed premesis are pretty tight.
But it's definitely worth calling the venue ahead of time and you never know. they may arrange somethine, ie must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or some such. The age is 18 here, not 21. But still doesn't help if you're 17 :-( |

Does the forum have seating during rock concerts? That sounds like a tame question, but my wife might like to go to the concert but I know she wont want to be rocking out in the crowd!

As far as I'm aware it has a balcony section of seating. The thought of sitting down interests me aswell.

Walk into bottle shop/pub/etc and you'll have no trouble whatsoever. Spent many a year doing it in the 90s. Corner hotel you can be 12 and they'll give you the benefit of the doubt ![]() Licensed venues like the Forum, Festy Hall, Billboard etc are pretty hot on IDs. My friend go ID'd at Festival Hall for Kasabian and she's 33. Nuts. |

How big are the places they are playing?
Is there much of a following out there? |

About 1500 capacity tops at these aussie shows.
I notice they've changed the venue in Adelaide from the Gov to the HQ. Tickets for SA are only $50 (no one works over there). Following? Not much. Even when they were on peoples' radars in 1999 when they came for the Big Day Out, they only played the Prince of Wales (pub in St Kilda) for their solo show. One night. Not that big a following. |

They're asking for a promotion code on the ticketmaster website? I haven't looked around extensively for it but if anyone can help me out?
