Pretty rubbish really. Depends where you are coming from and going to. You might strike it lucky and get a really good run from the airport into the city as you are going against the traffic. All around the city is tight, but flows.

If you can provide more details of your direction of travel, I might be able to provide more infomation. The urban planners in this city made a right stuff up of it!

Heh, I was more trying to plan my travel around the traffic. Vector is pretty much the city centre, right?

Anyway, if I'm understanding you correctly, the train from Wellington is more likely to get in on time than the bus from, say, Auckland Airport. Good to know.

If you are coming from Wellington to Auckland it's simpler to get a flight. This bus is eight hours. Train, probably even longer. The flights are around $60. The airport bus into the city is quicker.

Are you coming over from Australia?

Yep—the day after the Melbourne show. I'm trying to figure out how much time (if any) I have to wander around down south gawking before I head up to the big smoke for the gig. That, and it amuses the heck out of me that a train might be able to cross the entire North Island (and, yeah, that takes slightly longer than the bus...) and still get in less late compared to its actual timetable than a suburban bus purely because there's less traffic for it to deal with.

Not long now! I wish I could be more excited though. Why do the manics always tour right in the middle of when I have exams.

Looks like thanks to my radiation treatment I won't make it to the Auckland gig My last treatment is currently scheduled for 2July and I'm already feeling the fatigue from the radiation. Lucky I didn't buy a ticket (I think I must have known this was likely to happen)

I'll see how it goes though, if I'm not completely wiped out I might still grab a ticket on the door and have a seat rather than attempt the front row (I can still do pointy-shouty from a seat!)

The Manics are playing on X Factor NZ Monday Night. Crap show, but it might give them some more exposure here.
