The Europa song is more mass-communication than Postcards ever was.
Brilliant!

As I've said elsewhere, best track for five years. I need an official release + video right now.

I'm not sure about Europa, maybe because I'm so struggling with German (i live in Vienna atm), and it sounds soo irritating, but I hope I'll get used to it...soon.
Anyway, I like Futurology SO MUCH MORE.

I like both the new tracks a lot, I think Futurology will sound better recorded.

Not sure what to think of Futurology yet; I had a hard time hearing the vocals properly last night, so think I'll reserve full judgment for when we get to hear the studio version. As for Europa, oh my god I love it! So different to anything they've done before and keep getting it stuck in my head already. Hope the album has more experimental stuff on it like this.

Not really liking either so far. Crap lyrics, boring drumming and the melodies don't really hang together. They sound like PFAYM b-sides to me. Hoping the studio can save them.

Hey! I got my FMF mojo back!

Not quite. Best thing in eight years, since IKTZ.

Best thing since is my stance. It doesn't top anything on that masterpiece but it pisses all over PFAYM and RTF. And PFAYM was the first release I experienced as a fan and I love it to pieces.

It's a Nicky - James duet!!!
Finally. I only hope it will be a real duet, not like one of them is doing the backing vocals.

Wont hear any new song before the album is out, might ruin the experience of first listening.

I know the title track wasn't getting as much love as the other one. And the U2/Snow Patrol post was quite alarming!
But I thought there were some unison parts both James and Nicky played that reminded me of... Rush!
Again, there's the context of it and how it sounds. And Rush have only got one singer. But yeah, I know it doesn't sound anything like Rush, it was just the way they looked playing the song.
And getting James to sing the lines and parts Nicky can't was such a great idea, it's a pity they didn't know they could do that in 1992!

Hearing "Europa Geht Durch Mich" has made me appreciate more what they said of "30 Year War" being a link to the new album. Listen to the last few notes on 30YR and compare that to the rhythm that starts EGDM. (assuming that's what kicks the album off)
They synch up!!
