I honestly think that all this tour is missing is one or two songs from "I Killed The Zeitgheist". It'd be perfect. Let James sing THB, then let Nicky sing for like 7 songs then come back to finish off with Tolerate and ADFL.

I hope he gets better. I also hope we get Bright Eyes instead of Last Christmas tomorrow.

Pretty good I thought. I was glad to hear 1985 instead of Postcards. Divine Youth should be dropped though, it didn't work in Dublin, and it sounded pretty grim tonight. An especially good Faster and Tolerate I thought tonight.

Europa sounded amazing with Nina Hoss. They should recruit her as a permanent member and dispense with the guy on the Wurlitzer and the cheerleader. Seriously if this tour proves anything it's that they can do live shows as a three piece again. I don't care about backing tracks; one of the best gigs I ever saw was Fischerspooner and the whole thing was mimed, not a live note was played and it was fantastic.

I used to do Start of the tour and end of the tour gigs mind you the Past/Present/Future tour I saw them 3 times (The good times of working for the University magazine and being good friends with the guy at Sony who did most of the alternative acts, pushing HOTS helped too).

Hope he can manage one more gig for those who are going tomorrow, I got gig flu, hadn't been at the front in years but my 31 year old body said why the hell not.

Awesome, although there's a bit of a lull in the middle of the holy bible, isn't there? James looked physically in pain trying to sing 4st 7lbs, you could hear him being sick in his voice - really felt for him. But he did magnificently and the audience was amazing. Never thought I'd hear a crowd sing holy bible songs like that. Mausoleum (the feel good hit of the winter according to Nicky) and This Is Yesterday were amazing. IHOE was .

I really enjoyed the second set too. Nicky said something about this was the last time he was singing Divine Youth, whether that means it'll be dropped I don't know.

Europa sounded great, but Nina's hand waving was a bit distracting

I hope James feels better, but worried he won't be up to it tomorrow.

This is the first thing my husband (not a big Manics fan at all) said to me after the Manchester gig and I agree. I think the sound was great without the other musicians and James is more than capable of creating a full sound without them. I mean no insult to the other guys btw, they do a great job

Hopefully it means they've got Georgia Ruth Williams joining them tomorrow and Wednesday.

James is ill again?! Poor thing, I hope it doesn't get too bad and he is better soon!

I think the management should invest in one of those zorb thingies (the bubbles you go down hill and over lakes in) for when the band are on tour. They'd put it at the side of the stage for him to walk into off stage. He'd only be allowed to exit the zorb when on stage and when at the door of his fully disinfected hotel room which has been pumped full of filtered air.

Bet he'd still manage to get a cold though
