It'll be lovely for the band to finally get a number 1 album

If you buy from the official store but live outside of the UK does it count towards the UK chart?

Can just imagine them looking round the office going “is there anything else we can sell with a copy of the album? This stapler? A signed piece of paper?”

If only there were two tracks not currently on the UK release of the album, the cynic in me would make two versions out of that, and the utter gobshite in me would release a third on Thursday with both tracks.

I think RIF was at number one with about 3 hours to go if I remember correctly. And as shite as it is, missing Sunday Brunch at the weekend probably didn’t help even though it’s probably worth about ten album sales. Any word on why they weren’t on it? Who made the announcement that they were on? |

My ma announced to me that they were on as she watches it religiously so could well be her fault!

It was also advertised on last week's show and on their twitter because i checked. Bob mortimer was supposed to be on too so who knows!

Not sure about Drake specifically, but downloads still outsell vinyl. Despite all the hype about the revival, cassette is still the only format that does worse than vinyl, sales-wise.

Steps have dropped the price of their CD to £4.99 on Amazon. Nicky needs to give away a cassette of his jazz album with TUVL. I want it on the website first thing in the morning and I want it signed by Sean as Happyfeet. I don’t care if he’s gone to bed, wake him up and get it done. Let’s not mess about here.

I am enjoying popping back and forth from this thread to the Steps thread on Popjustice - both are talking about how to get the respective bands to no.1 (or 2 behind Drake) but this one is a lot more entertaining
Edit: Just ordered a CD plus Manic Millennium print. Astonished to see a free shipping option so a great deal at £15! Will try to get a vinyl copy with a Banquet Records ticket later. Doing my bit for the fight!

Actually, looking at the numbers from yesterday, I think Drake might be out of it.
1 Manic Street Preachers - The Ultra Vivid Lament (19,186) * 2 Steps - What the Future Holds, Pt. 2 (16,277) * 3 The Stranglers - Dark Matters (10,076) * 4 The Vaccines - Back in Love City (6,661) * 5 Drake - Certified Lover Boy (6,241) Steps are on This Morning today. The Manics need to respond by getting themselves on Loose Women. |
