I think that's the only (and I mean ONLY) way I would ever give money to a tout. But only if I really thought they'd lost a lot of money. That said, I can't imagine being anywhere near a gig I didn't have a ticket for, so it's an unlikerly scenario I suppose.

Well its only a bus ride for me into Brum so I've chanced it a few times and paid between 5 and 15 quid, tickets are usually £25 plus so they loose out, if they offered me one at full ticket price or above I would get on the bus and come home.

I just think they'd lose more if they got £0.

I ended up getting tickets on ebay (for not much more than face value) a couple of years ago, but I still resent it. I definitely wouldn't pay a tout for this gig, it's just obscene.

Was it a kind of dream,
Selling out on the web
Waking up for the 9 AM sale
Oh, was it a dream?

There's a good chance that you'll get one
If you're logged on and have cash
These things sell out usually in a week or two
So you'll be OK
Oh yes, you'll be OK

Tout eyes
Touting like fire
Tout eyes
How can you sleep at night?
How can a gig that sold so cheaply,
suddenly turn so rare?
Tout eyes

We didn't see what was coming
The touts gave us a good bumming
They snapped up the tix before we knew what was what
We were left with nought

Sure a few others will get to go
Groupies and LoveSean4Ever
But nobody else will get to see
How hard could it be?
How hard should it be...

Tout eyes
Touting like fire
Tout eyes
How can you sleep at night?
How can a gig that sold so cheaply,
suddenly turn so rare?
Tout eyes

haha! that delightful chap who was selling his tickets for £499 has now reduced his price to £249 now - that makes me laugh! it does mean that his generous 10% going to the red cross is significantly reduced too though.

And that's still £229 too much!

Firewater is still there. I was there in 2008.

Considering I was wasting my money with sculptureofabloke that day, I'm very happy to hear this.

The best thing I saw with regards to touts, was back in '04, when a tout was selling Babyshambles tickets and he asked the guitarist in Babyshambles, if he wanted a ticket. To his own gig!
