down here, on top of Duran Duran, U2 and Neil Diamond over the next few months, we have - get this - Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer doing a gig.

if the Manics and Jedward do a song together, it will be fuck Vanilla and fuck MC, i am getting on a fucking plane for that one.

been feeling a bit homesick anyway. the last time i was in the UK it was to see the Manics & Ian Brown - only the Manics and Jedward can top that.

Unfortunately you would need to do something that radical to shift that song. Really poor choice.

I don't think it's a poor choice at all. Wanted it released as a single as soon as I heard it!

It's a good song, again, I don't know if I'll stump up the cash.

Whether anyone personally likes the song or not, it's surely the most radio friendly, and airplay is the important thing for a band like the Manics.

Best of a bad bunch I think, the first three tracks are the only ones suitable for single release. I'd have preferred PFAYM (the only track on the album I truly like) to be second, but it'll hopefully be the third and last.

I've ordered my three copies of it from Townsend and will do my usual round at HMV!

I would agree with this, there is nothing else on the album which would be any good as a single,

I think Golden Platitudes has got good single potential. But if the extra Japanese tracks are the b-sides then I think we won't get a third single.
So SKON: "Shit or Bust" it is!
