SEB's vocals on Black Holes are sex. As they are generally.

I love the way JDB belts out the 'when it's gone' finale too.

I'm sure you're taking the piss but I fail to see how. That review is still at least ten times better than any I've ever read in NME.

How can a voice be slutty? sexual, sensuous, erotic, but I don't think a voice has casual sex.

You don't think somebody can sound slutty? Seriously? Suit yourself.

...and this was the album that saw the Manics join the Mediocracy.

Tolerate's good, I like I'm Not Working and My Little Empire, Black Dog and Born A Girl are worth listening too, and I can enjoy Ready For Drowning, and You Stole The Sun was good until it got played at EVERY SODDING MANICS GIG EVER...but the rest. Sheesh.

SYMM is unbelievably crap, and The Everlasting is - with the possible exceptions of 'The Love of Richard Nixon' and 'There By The Grace Of God' - the worst Manics single ever.

Interestingly enough, I remember hearing a documentary about this on Radio Wales before the album came out. The songs had different samples played over them (documentary about the reservoirs over Ready for Drowning, Hillsborough commentary over SYMM, that sort of thing), and they made the songs better than they were.

Still, at least it isn't Lifeblood.

Just for good measure we should tattoo the lyrics to '1985' and 'To Repel Ghosts' onto the inside of their eyelids, and then throw red paint over them too

Regards,
Marwood.
