would be nice. I mean if you're gonna learn all those songs might as well play them a few times.
If they play in Birmingham I'll go

As an almost-Brixton resident, I concur!

I hope they could make it commercially worth doing though. I don't think there are thousands of "THB-conscious" punters out there.

There's not a HUGE market out there for THB gigs, that's for sure - the casual crowd wanting to hear the hits would be massively disappointed (and confused). But I think there enough hardcore fans from the past and present that would definitely be up for a one off gig. It *could* possibly bring back a lot of old fans that have stayed away for years.

I think there's a pretty big market though, a lot of non-manics or ex-manics fans would appreciate THB in full. Some adverts in music magazines should let them sell out a few smaller venues. No arenas, but it's not designed for that.

They should really offer THB in full followed by futurology .

Why would a lot of Non Manics fans appreciate a THB gig when they probably won't have any knowledge of the album?

THB is a pretty well known album, in general from the 90s. I really meant people who aren't fans of later manics or perhaps aren't fans in general but appreciate that album. In my experience people know of that album even if they think the stuff after it is shit.

I haven't been on the last couple of tours. But this would certainly get me back. Yes, it is a little bit like living off of former glories. But if the band had a more varied setlist, that wasn't just about hits, then they wouldn't need to do "nostalgia" gigs.

JDB forgetting there they have actually played all the songs live before.

Sounds good, at least they will be playing new stuff as well.

Exactly, they'd be celebrating/commemorating/paying homage (I'm really not sure how to phrase it - hope you know what I mean!) to a stunning album and playing the hits from the rest of their career. From what I've heard the JFPL gigs were incredible I think there'd be more than enough people who'd take probably the only chance they'll get to see The Holy Bible performed in full, but this way you're not going to put anyone off. Not surprised the band are still undecided though, this is a massive step on so many levels. Definitely no arenas as Takk said - would ruin the atmosphere of the album. Apart from Cardiff perhaps or a couple nights at the University Great Hall? Preferably similar venues to THB tour itself.

Actually, I'm very glad to have seen the songs I have seen played live. I never thought I'd see the Manics ever, but the Brixton shows this year had a great setlist, and I was lucky enough to hear my favorite song (Archives of Pain) and see the premiere of Let's Go to War. I really hope I can afford to see the hypothetical THB shows, but I'm glad to have been able to see them when I did.

It pains me though because I can't see them whenever I want and go to signings, talks, Manic Street Mania shows, spur-of-the-moment gigs, etc.

I'm not so sure about a 3 night run at Brixton. If they do go ahead with these shows (and after the sort of run through at rough trade yesterday and how amazing it all sounded as a three piece) and it's looking increasingly likely they will, a handful of shows in smaller venues would really suit it better. Maybe not the size of King Tut's like they did a few years ago, but can you imagine how intense and raw and amazing it would be as an experience in a tiny space.

Although that does then bring the problem of the inevitable rush for tickets.....
December does seem the fitting time to have them, but we shall see. Also agree with you guys with the half Bible/ half Futurology set.
