disc three - all bsides plus as many unheard studio out takes, radio sessions, etc as possible
dvd - as much good quality Astoria 94 footage as possible

if it's going to be a CD release rather than vinyl only, i'd hope they do a 12" box much like the recent Nirvana super deluxe reissues - also gives them room to chuck in a vinyl copy too, plus a decent sized booklet:

Nevermind
In Utero

...or Radiohead's In Rainbows box:

yeah, but there's like three bsides and I'm not sure if there any demos or unreleased stuff that hasn't already been put out? So discs 1-2 are basically already out there, and i'm not sure that they have astoria footage.

Haven't they released Faster live footage from Astoria gig on 10th anniversary dvd? I always wondered if they have the full footage of it..

Vinyl boxset hopefully. The tenth anniversary boxset fulfils my cd needs, even though the B-Sides aren't on there.

Excited to hear that there's a new Holy Bible box set coming out. The tenth anniversary edition remains fantastic, but there's no way I'd grumble about a fresh release of such a seminal album. Hopefully they'll do it justice with a fantastic package full of interesting new stuff and at a fair price. Obviously the Astoria footage is a Holy Grail of sorts...

true... but like the EMG 10th set, maybe Nicky can dig out shoeboxes worth of rough takes, idea tracks, rehearsal audio etc? didn't he once say he had boxes and boxes of stuff he's archived over the years?

expanding on THB10, a bsides / rarities disc would at least include

1. Sculpture of Man
2. Too Cold Here
3. Love Torn Us Under
4. The Drowners
5. Stay with Me
6. Pennyroyal Tea
7. Judge Yr'self

...of which only 1 track was on THB10...

I guess. A couple of those are on lipstick traces though, so it's only like 5 tracks.

Sorry I just don't buy that at all. Personally I think The Holy Bible is just as relevant today as it was in 1994 since the issues it tackles continue and in some cases are even more prevalent in our society. That's one of the reasons it hits so incredibly hard. Ok some lines need a bit of context-setting but I don't think it's aged much at all - certainly far less than other albums of the time.

As for the boxset, b-sides, some more live tracks/a remastered Astoria gig, a more in depth interview (as the GT Anniversary one was so good) and some titbits Nicky has found in his drawer would do for me. Maybe some images of lyric sheets/notes like we had in JFPL. Kerrang seems to nearly confirm we'll get something and 600,000 copies!

There are lots of things they could add to make another release really awesome and special. (I'm going to guess and say…) they won't do any of them.
