ARGH.

Anyway. Beyond excited. I don't get paid until next week so I'm going to have to work miracles to get to this. Also, the Albert Hall is a brilliant venue, very happy with that.

I won't 2 all 3 nights at the Roundhouse but maybe 2 depending on what the Set Lists have instore for us but I bet it will be something like this:

THB
Intermission

Walk Me To The Bridge
You Stole The Sun From My Heart
Motorcycle Emptiness
(It's Not War) Just The End Of Love
If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next
You Love Us
Rewind The Film
Futurology
Your Love Alone Is Not Enough
Show Me The Wonder
Motown Junk
A Design For Life

Looks like a fair enough guess to me, except I can't see you getting away without Tsunami so I'd guess you lose It's Not War, and everything shuffles up 1 for Tsunami after Show Me The Wonder. Also think more likely to see ME open 2nd set, followed by Walk me to the bridge, the YLAINE, then as you suggested.

Personally I would rather see the 6 songs of Futurology & 2 of RWF but that is not going to happen

I wonder if they will tour Futurology now, maybe next year unless they decided to take these shows to other continents

Futurology is too good of an LP not to be toured

The full press release confirms it at the end

20 years after the release of the Manic Street Preachers' third album 'The Holy Bible', the band have announced dates in December where they will play the album in its entirety for the very first time.

The album has achieved legendary status over the years due to its post-punk abrasive style and fierce, uncompromising lyrics. They have never played the whole record and these very special shows, much rumoured and speculated about will be must see events for fans.

The London dates at the Roundhouse are almost 20 years to the date since the band played three gigs at the London Astoria, which turned out to be their last live performance with guitarist Richey Edwards who went missing a few months later. The gigs are remembered as thrilling, exhilarating affairs with the last night culminating in the band smashing up all their equipment in a frenzied bout of wanton destruction.

The band recently released their number two charting 12th studio album 'Futurology' which received some of the best reviews to date. This came within a year of their previous album 'Rewind The Film' which was also a top five record.

A 20th anniversary edition of 'The Holy Bible' will be released later this year with further details to follow.

December
08 | Glasgow, Barrowland (tickets)
10 | Manchester, Albert Hall (tickets)
11 | Manchester, Albert Hall (tickets)
13 | Dublin, Olympia Theatre (tickets)
15 | London, Roundhouse (tickets)
16 | London, Roundhouse (tickets)
17 | London Roundhouse (tickets)

Tickets are onsale from Friday 25th September at 9.00 BST.

Manic Street Preachers are: James Dean Bradfield (guitars and vocals), Nicky Wire (bass and vocals) and Sean Moore (drums).

I agree, I'd love to have seen more of it played.

Great news on the 20th anniversary set.

Very dissapointed that there will be no Welsh shows for this. Christmas Time is expensive enough as it is but would be feasible to travel to a show in Cardiff or Newport but definately out of the question for those 7 dates. Quite sad about it but the band want to do these places. I am glad they're doing it.

Nicky said it will just be the three of them playing, no Wayne/Nick/Sean...
