Many special moments tonight, but in particular the moment of relief and joy when 1985 returned to the set list, and the massive surprise of Nina Hoss walking onstage, and being fucking fantastic. Rather made up for being at the wrong end of the barrier when I realised she was going to stand directly in front of me.
Nicky seemed in very good spirits. James was struggling a bit and his voice wasn't a patch on the first three dates, poor sod. I mean, it was still James so he still sounded a thousand times better than any other fucking singer... but yeah. I saw him necking pills and (I think) spraying something into his throat a few times. Hope he can get through the last two nights (or at least cancel with a shit-ton of notice). SEAN IN A MOTHERFUCKIN' BERET!!! YEAH!!! Life Is Complete.

Fucking hell. No one told me that Nicky was going to MURDER "Divine Youth". That bit was awful.
The rest of it was brilliant - even "You Stole The Sun..." sounded alright - Naysmith's honky-tonk piano was turned right down for that. |

I assume they'll have Georgia for one night, and then swap it out for the other.

Personally, if I get to hear Divine Youth live, I'll be happy whether it's Nicky, Georgia, Nina or James singing.

Nicky reminiscing about playing the roundhouse before, saying the itunes thing was a big fucking sack of shite.

I think it was in summer 2011 - it was part of the iTunes Festival which is free but you have to apply for tickets. There's a live EP on iTunes containing about 5 or 6 tracks. It doesn't sound that great to be honest.

Aw, poor James. I noticed he looked down on Saturday, but I just put it down to the heaviness of playing the album. He still sounded amazing. Hopefully the singing isn't causing him too much pain, and he gets better soon.
