Has anyone else noticed that on some of the videos on the dvd, that the picture quality is absolutely shocking? Faster being one example, its all blurry and not clear like the original at all!!

didnt notice it much on the others but i definitely did on faster. Not happy

that will mostly be the fact that they used NTSC, but i am also curious as to what size the DVD is. most bands these days just issue a cheap and cheerful DVD5 (max capacity of about 4.7GB) for "freebies".

has anyone, or could some kind soul, popped or pop the DVD into their PC and have a look at the disc size? would be interesting to see what it comes in at, in particular compared to the FD DVD.

It's coming up as 7.58GB when I put it into my pc. Dunno how reliable that figure is though..

The early stuff sounds a lot clearer - some of it benefits, some of it doesn't. Motown Junk and Stay Beautiful have never sounded so good.

cheers. that's pretty standard usage for a retail DVD9 (max capacity 8.5GB i think), then - the rest of the space is usually "reserved" for anti-copying software.

the poor quality must then be a mix of NTSC and just how much they have rammed on, then. unless there's an insane set of animated menus eating up all the data space.
