Yeah, you can pick them up at quite decent prices now too. I need a new Holy Bible as my brother lost the CD. Grrrrr

Can't speak for anyone else but I never said I didn't believe ya, just amazed that someone would buy it, put it away and forget they bought it! I swear, if I ever buy it I'm gonna treat the day like any normal person would treat a wedding anniversary.

Also, I find it a bit weird how your dad's holding that, where's his thumb?

I'm not a collector, but I found this amongst my tapes. Still sealed, an NME tape from 1993. It doesn't have any Manics on it, but I think it's a pretty good example of how iconic Richey's 4 REAL cuts became:

It says "5 REEL" and the tape has Carter USM, One Dove (who?), The Jerky Boys (never heard of 'em), Back To The Planet (vague recollection...), Curve (sounds slightly familiar).

Not as cool as owning "Suicide Alley"!!

The cassette I found in a charity shop a few years ago. I just like random Manics-references like that!

One Dove I believe featured Dot Allinson, who toured with Babyshambles in 2004. The Jerky Boys are an American comedy act.

In some ways it's a better time to start collecting now than it was 10 years ago or whatever, a lot of the Richey era singles were £20 a pop but you can usually get any one of em for a fiver now. Just vinyl that's gone up really, I blame the hipsters.

Yeah I was just looking at it and think eh, I wouldn't hold it like that. Tell him it's the holy grail, it deserves to be held properly.

Ha, don't even get me started on that... At the risk of starting a massive derail, have Glenn Beck et al finally stfu about it?
