Korn, Marilyn Manson, and Manic Street Preachers

Anyone know anything about this?

They would have been in Australia for BDO and they were fans of Manson, but that would have been an, um, interesting line up..

Was this the one responsible for Melody Maker's weekly picture of Manson's ringpiece? Korn aside, sounds good.

Just trying to imagine having a dinner party with You Stole The Sun blasting away or lines like 'Disco dancing with the rapists'!

Hyacinth Bucket would not be impressed!

Nicky would love it though wouldn't he? He'd be banging on about how they subversively got lyrics about The Spanish Civil war into a dinner party... Situationists and all that shit...

The band toured Australia with the Big Day Out in 1999 following This Is My Truth’s success, but avoided engaging with headliners Hole and Marilyn Manson. “We did go to one of the Big Day Out parties – I think it was in Melbourne – and we just looked at these people like they were from a different planet,” Sean recalled. “They were living the rock‘n’roll myth. They’d seen a little book of rules of how to live like a rock star and they were living it step by step. You need to create your own rules and space rather than retrace the steps of previous artists.”

Sean Moore. Obviously Nicky was keeping his crush on Marilyn ('Brian Warner has a tasty little ass') to himself at that point

I'm sure there was some gig they were sharing with Marilyn where Marilyn came in to see them backstage armed with drinks and when they all looked a little disconcerted assured them he hadn't poisoned them. I remember Nicky saying that but can't remember exactly what gig/festival he was referring to
