Manics Biggest Gigs?

Aside from festivals.

Am I right in saying Swansea is their second biggest gig to the Millennium Gig?

Anyone know what kind ranking order their biggest gigs are?

Aside from festivals, you'd think so. It depends how you want to count the shows, since some of the support act slots they've done have been big. I'm thinking of Foo Fighters at the Etihad for one (60k capacity). Then there's the 02 arena at 20k, but they probably would have filled that size of venue on the TIMT tour.

Depends how you define "biggest" too. Definitely not physically, but in terms of being the most newsworthy or culturally significant, you could argue for the Cuba gig. Although it seems to have been forgotten now the Stones have done it, it was pretty huge at the time.

Yeah. I know as support acts they've obviously played to a lot of people too.

I guess just on the scale of their own headlined gigs. I see that Elton John and Kings Of Leon packed in 25,000 at the liberty stadium. I wonder what the attendance will be for the manics on Saturday!

Pretty historic to be going to the their possibly second ever biggest individual gig, if they pack in over 20,000 beating the O2 attendees

Okay, dude, guy, girl! Imma totally derail this, but I think I'm having a "saw the same guy in Montreal as in Ulan Bator" moment here -- are you on the kent forum and if yes, what's your username there?

(Don't worry, y'all can get back to the Manics soon enough)

They did the boxing day Tsunami tribute at the Millennium stadium and justice for Hillsborough gig. The Nynex has a 21k capacity but they must have done a few other big ones.

I think in terms of Gigantagigs, then I can't think of any others. II can't think of anything obvious that would be bigger than the 02, unless another arena in the UK happens to have a slightly bigger capacity. So the Liberty should be (all being well) the 2nd biggest.
