Personally I think Nicky Wire has always been delusional, whether his bizarre and obsessive 'my best friend was a genius' spiel or his belief that he's a good lyricist/poet, which is very, very far from the truth (tell me yours).
But in fairness maybe you're right, he just means providing something no one else does. And you're right that the rest is up to interpretation...
