Please could we post any Brixton news

Hello,

Going on friday (hopefully!) if not cancelled.

Got a hotel etc booked, and latest I can cancel that is today and not lose my money,

When would we expect to know on these gigs? is it likely to be the day of the gigs, like yesterday?

l really hope any news of the bad kind will be posted on the official site in good time. l'm sure they're very aware that people come in from all over Europe / the world even to see their gigs.

Am myself in the same boat as you, fly over from Norway tomorrow, have 2 hotel rooms riding on it...........

Same here. Flight, hotel, everything. If they cancel it would be (I believe) the 3rd time in a row they cancel a gig I am going to.

Glad to hear you're coming over again, Wim! Are you (hopefully) going to both nights? I really hope the gigs go ahead. The London shows must get the most traffic from other countries.

I called brixton academy this morning, and they have said they should know by 3pm whether tomorrows gig is going ahead, and 3pm thursday for friday's gig!

They really should do smaller tours to avoid illness!

Unhappy

It's my first Manics gig on Thursday, so I hope it's not canceled! Am taking a girl to see them and am trying to impress them. If it's canceled, there's no hope of that!

Aww, that's nice. I hope they don't play Ocean Spray then if you're trying to impress her.

This will be the 2nd year in a row this happens, just gutted if they cancel.

Last October AFTER I had arrived in Oxford did Status Quo cancel both gigs,

Now one year later, the possibility of the Manics cancelling.

Utterly didappointing. I know if one is ill, you're ill; having such bad luck with flying to the UK for gigs is getting me down^

I am really worried. Only last Friday I was the luckiest person in the world, I won the tickets and trip to London for Friday gig on Polish radio Eska Rock and now the show may be cancelled...

tickets AND flight? Wow that is amazing... lucky indeed! Double lucky actually, 'cause worst case scenario, you basically won't lose anything, moneywise.

Fingers crossed...

Looking on the Brixton Academy site, there are free dates between 13th and 16th December so I assume *if* these shows get postponed they'll probably be arranged for then so that they're consistent with the rearranged Brum date.

It would be really handy if they could make a decision sooner rather than later, just so we all know what we're doing like.

Well it depends when Lord Bradfield feels he is well enough doesn't it? I wouldn't expect a statement today really. It'll depend how he feels on the day unless it's a serious illness that requires a doctor's opinion and postpones the remaining tour dates…

Unfortunately it's just a case of wait and see like it was for us in BIrmingham yesterday
