Angry Kevin Cummins book

I have been informed that the book is postponed until next february because the band wants more involvement.

Which appears to be totally coherent with what I wrote some weeks ago in the forum about the books being published.
I would have preferred to be wrong on that assumption, but ...

Cheers

I refused to believe it was ever sold out.

Sensible move, really. No need to release a £550 book at the same time as a £300 one. I suspect that's the real reason it got moved.

Can't believe there's actually demand for this book, the Manics sure have some wealthy fans.

i decided to make an inquiry regarding the book's release as a less expensive edition and here's the reply i got :|

Thank you for your interest in 'Sometimes the Sky's Too Bright'. There are no current plans to release the book in anything other than the limited editions advertised.

Apologies if this is unhelpful to you.

What, a book for over £500? That's mental. Think of what you can use £500 on! Sadly being jobless I won't be getting a copy. If I had a job I also wouldn't get a copy. I thought the Nicky polaroid book was a steep price at £30!

Haha this made me chuckle. I might sing this at the o2 gig to amuse myself.

Wait until the band get their hands on it. It'll be £800 for a copy that comes with one of Nicky's used eyeliner brushes.

And £900 for a limited edition with one of Nicky's old dresses and an art booklet.

Fine.

Moving to more realistic things: what happened to the project of publishing a book from Richard's original notes and lyrics he left to the band?
I remember someone (NickY) said something about it around the time the release of JFPL.

Sometimes the Sky's Too Bright (from the facebook page)

The 26 lettered copies of the book will now be signed by James, Nicky and Sean. Lots of thanks to them, and to Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon, the Queen, the Damned United etc) for agreeing to contribute to the book as well.
